2008 Ultimate Water Smart Garden Makeover Contest Carmichael Water District Customer Wins Grand Prize
Congratulations to Gregory and Sharon Fong of Carmichael for being selected as the Grand Prize Winners of the “Ultimate Water Smart Garden Makeover Contest”, featuring a custom water smart landscape design, valued at $40,000.
Carmichael Water District joined the Regional Water Authority for the 2008 Ultimate Water Smart Garden Makeover Contest. The focus of the contest was aimed at educating local homeowners on ways to save water and money by integrating water-wise gardening techniques, such as low-water use plants and trees into their landscaping. The landscape makeover for their home on Hillgrove Way in Carmichael was designed by Cheryl Buckwalter of Landscape Liaisons.
