You may have
recently received the 2006 Consumer Confidence Report
for Carmichael Water District (CWD). The Consumer
Confidence report is a requirement from the California
Department of Health Services Office of Drinking Water.
This report is required to use mandatory language
and terminology that many of our customers may not
be familiar with or understand.
Many customers have asked, “I just want to know
if my water is safe to drink?”
The answer is YES. The drinking water supplied to
the customers of CWD meets and in most case exceeds
the State and Federal Drinking Water Standards.
Consumer Confidence
Report:
Each year, Carmichael Water District and other water
providers are required to produce and distribute a
Consumer Confidence Report that provides customers
with detailed information about the sources and quality
of your drinking water. The CCR summarizes testing
of contaminates in drinking water during the past
year and includes a comparison of the district's water
quality to standards set by the California Department
of Health Services (DHS) and U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency (USEPA). Carmichael Water District is proud
of its excellent water quality. That's why we're pleased
to present an annual Consumer Confidence Report, which
demonstrates that district water meets all federal
and state drinking water and health standards.
Annual Water Quality
Report
While Carmichael Water District is required to list
only those constituents detected at a threshold level
as determined by state and federal regulations in
its Consumer Confidence Report, a complete listing
of all tested constituents is available in the District’s
Annual Water Quality Report.
