Water.
It 's one of our state's most precious and valuable natural
resources. Today's young people are the key to conserving
and maintaining our water supply for tomorrow. Carmichael
Water District invites teachers and students to participate
in a free program in spring of each year designed to teach
students in grades K-8 about using water efficiently.
Be Water Wise, presented by the Regional Water Authority and
The Sacramento Bee's Newspapers in Education (NIE) program,
teaches kids to practice water efficiency in every-day activities.
Students learn where water comes from and ecology through
math, science and the arts, fun puzzles, investigative work
and activities.
There is no cost to participate in the program because the
Carmichael Water District through the Regional Water Authority
sponsors your enrollment. To learn more about Be Water Wise
or sign up for the program, please call The Sacramento Bee
at (916) 321-1785 (enter option #1) or visit www.sacbee.com
Past Award Winners:

honored with awards from The Sacramento Bee and Regional Water
Authority presented by Carmichael Water District staff.
