2008 Water Conservation Art Contest
Sponsored by Carmichael Water District & Carmichael Kiwanis
Club Carmichael
Water District and Carmichael Kiwanis Club invites the students
of Barrett Middle School to participate in the second annual
“Water Conservation Art Contest”. This year’s
theme is “Use Water Wisely”. Students are invited
to submit their artwork for a competition to select 14 winners
to be included in a 2008 year calendar.
Rules

All artwork must be prepared horizontally
(landscape) on 81/2” X 11” white paper. |

Students may use marking pens,
colored pencils, acrylic or poster paint, water colors,
crayons, or magic markers. Words, if used should be printed
neatly with correct spelling. Artwork created on a computer
will not be accepted. |

Students must work on their project
individually (one artist per entry). All artwork must
be original. Reproduction of popular cartoon characters
will not be accepted. |

Entry form must be attached to
the back of the artwork. Entry must be turned in to Mr.
Wright by October 12, 2007. |
Prizes
First place will be awarded a $75.00 gift card and the artwork
will be featured on the cover of the calendar. There will
be 13 second place winners, and each winner will receive a
$25.00 gift card as well as having their artwork featured
in the calendar. Entries will be judged based on originality,
expression of theme, and design. An awards ceremony will be
held on December 5, 2007 at Barrett Middle School.
