Procedures and Fees to be Used in Conjunction With Bi-Monthly
Billing
All customers
having a water service connection to the District will be
mailed a regular billing around the 1st of the month and due
at the end of that month.
All customers who have not paid the regular billing will be
mailed a past due notice around the 5th of the following month
which will be due in 10 days.
All payments for regular billing, past due notice and 48-hour
notice must be received in the office by the close of business
on the due date. Postmark will not be considered paid by due
date.
All customers with a past due balance of $110.00 or greater
still outstanding after the past due notice due date will
be delivered a 48-hour notice to the service address requesting
payment for water services outstanding.
Any customer who has a check returned to the District's bank
for non-payment will be delivered a 48-hour notice to the
service address requesting payment (in cash or money order)
for the returned check and bank fees.
All customers who are delivered a 48-hour notice to the service
address requesting payment shall be charged a $20.00 fee to
the outstanding balance on the customer's account.
All customers who have not paid the outstanding balance within
48 hours of the notice will have the water disconnected at
the service address.
All customers who have the water disconnected at the service
address for non-payment will be charged a $20.00 disconnection
fee.
Any customer who has had water service disconnected and turns
the water back on at the service address will be charged another
$20.00 disconnection fee and the water service will be disconnected
and a lock will be placed on the service.
Any customer who removes a lock from the water service that
has been disconnected by the District will be held responsible
for the cost of the materials and labor rendered in order
to fully disconnect the water service.
Water service terminations do not relieve the customer from
payment owing.
The outstanding balance on the account must be paid in full
before the water service will be reconnected.
The District reserves the right to lien these properties for
past due amounts.
