[ARCHIVED] Free Mulch Event

Mulch Mayhem 1

FREE MULCH Available for Pick-Up at Carmichael Water District on May 4, 2024, 8AM - 12 PM or until mulch supplies run out.

  • Bring your own shovels, containers, tarp to cover and a method to haul away the mulch
  • First-come, first-served until supplies are gone
  • For personal use only; not for resale or commercial use
  • Limit 1 yard per customer

Why Mulch?

  •  Water Efficiency and Beauty: Mulch slows evaporation, moderates soil temperature, and enhances the beauty of your landscape.
  •  Nutrient Boost: As it naturally breaks down, mulch enriches the soil with essential nutrients for healthier plants.
  •  Weed Control: Mulch acts as a natural barrier to help control pesky weeds.
  •  Water Savings: Water managers estimate you can save 30 gallons of water for every 1,000 square feet by applying two to three inches of organic mulch around plants and four to six inches around trees.
